Day 1 :
Departure from Thessaloniki Airport at 17:00 hrs for the picturesque “Old Saint Athanasios Settlement” , by minibus a journey of aprox. 2 hrs. After settling to our base to rest, we will meet again later for a walk through the village, noted for its traditional architecture. Upon return to the hotel we will have dinner, followed by a film featuring Yoga.
Day 2 :
Early in the morning and at a beautiful location of the village, offering unique views to nearby mountains, we will have our first Yoga Practice (Pranayamas, Asanas & Partner Yoga . Return to the hotel to enjoy our breakfast based on local products. Immediately after breakfast, we will travel to Ancient Pella, the birthplace of Alexander the Great, where you will be taken a tour of the Museum and the archaeological site. Deeply touched by the famous ancient exhibits, which thousands of people from all over the world come to admire each year, we continue our excursion followed by a visit to the city of Edessa, “the City of Waters” as it is called. Here we will have the chance to explore a part of the city on foot. Our walk through the picturesque alleys of the town, will lead us to its renowned waterfalls. Following our walks in Edessa, we will have lunch at a local restaurant or tavern. Return to our hotel for rest, before meeting for our afternoon 2 hours Yoga session (Pranayama, Asanas, and Meditation). Dinner follows.
Day 3 :
Early in the morning we drive to lake Vegoritida (approx. 30min) where our Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) will take place. You will be amazed by the idyllic scenery – the perfect location for a Yoga lover. Return to the hotel to enjoy your breakfast based on local produce. Immediately after breakfast we will visit the vineyards and wine producing facilities of a world famous winery. Award –winning, internationally acclaimed wines of the estate will be offered to you to taste. Soon after, lunch follows at an excellent awarded restaurant located next to lake Vegoritida. The lake itself and the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains as well, are the perfect accompaniment to the tasteful meal we will enjoy. Return to the hotel to rest, before meeting for our afternoon practice in Pranayama and Asanas with Props. Dinner follows.
Day 4 :
This early morning’s retreat will take place in the heart of Voras-Kaimaktsalan mountain. A verdant forest with streams forming into small waterfalls is the place we have chosen for you. Here the words rejuvenation of mind, body and soul, reflect their Absolute and Fabulous meaning. Return to the hotel to have breakfast. Free time to prepare for our departure. Return to Thessaloniki.
End of program.
