Your day begins with pick up from your hotel. About 9 am begin heading North-East to Amphipolis wherein 2012 CE an impressive Hellenistic tomb was discovered, one of the most important archaeological finds of the last 40 years in Greece.
From Amphipolis, return to the countryside to travel to the wine country where you will spend some time sampling fine wines at two popular Drama wineries. Chateau Nico Lazaridis and its art gallery “Magic Mountain”, that hosts works of Greek and foreign painters and sculptors. These works are also depicted on the “Magic Mountain” wine labels.

After lunch, journey onward to the “small Rome” of Philippi, a Unesco World Heritage site. Explore the site historic remains, Lydia’s Baptistry and learn about their history.
